ITOGON, Benguet – The municipal legislatives headed by Vice Mayor Noel Ngolob recently approved the creation of an ecological sanctuary to be known as a memorial park in Virac.
Resolution 42 series of 2012 states the proposed development is confined within Lot 4 with a total land area of 17,869.34 square meters.
The Committee on Land Zoning together with the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator conducted an investigation prior to the approval of the council. The committee recommended a favorable review of the development application for the park.
The project manager however must keep in touch with the barangay officials in order to oversee the development and the compliance of the company to the terms and conditions agreed by both parties in a resolution.
The Municipal Council found no objection to the development of the area which made them approve the proposal.
Along with the approval are terms and conditions the developer must comply with. The applicable requirements of government agencies and applicable provisions of existing laws will be met by the company.
The council further stated no activity other than what was approved will be conducted within the project site. Moreover, no major expansion alteration and improvement will be introduced without prior clearance from the council.
The council’s resolution further stated the company should strictly conform to the National Building Code of the Philippines and other agencies. And any complaint against the location or pollution of the project site, if proven true will cause the revocation of the decision of the council.
